Kay Adams Kerrigan, age 73, died on June 21, 2018 in Redding. Kay was born on 3/31/1945 in Stockton to Everett “Red” Adams and Jean Fredholm Adams.

She grew up, worked and raised her family in Eureka. She met the love of her life and married James “Jim” Kerrigan on 11/28/1998. After retiring from Northern California Indian Development Council she and Jim traveled the world aboard the catamaran they built in their barn in Ferndale, CA that Kay named Grace. Kay especially loved their time in Costa Rica and going through the Panama Canal.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years Jim Kerrigan, her daughter Carmela Paradise, grandsons Lucus and Everett Paradise and great grandson Logan Paradise. Sister and brother in-law Bonnie and Ted Hamilton, nephew James “Jim” Anderson, grand nieces Amber and Kendell Anderson. Also children Rebecca Powell, Brooke Kerrigan, James and Gara Kerrigan, Trilby Kerrigan, Chase Kerrigan, 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

After their big adventure Jim and Kay settled in Shingletown where her celebration of life will be held on September 8, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Shingletown Fire Hall 31990 Hwy 44, Shingletown.
