It is with great sadness that the family of Bill Gastman announces his passing on June 17, 2018 in Redding.

He was born to Joy and Rose Gastman January 1, 1949 in Eureka where he spent the major part of his life. Bill was a graduate of Eureka High School and Humboldt State College receiving a degree in business. He owned the S&K Card Room for many years before changing professions, obtaining his real estate license and becoming a mortgage lender.

His great loves were hunting, fishing, playing poker, his dog Charlie and spending time at our summer home in Willow Creek.

Several years ago he was diagnosed with COPD and knew he was in a fight for his life.  He moved to Redding to be with his sister Shari who remained by his side until the end.

Bill is survived by his sisters Shari (husband Dave), Michele and Shelly, nieces Shelby and Sarah, nephew Josh, great niece Anya, great nephews Taylor and Wyatt and cousin Monica .

Bill is finally at peace and is with Mom and Dad and all our wonderful relatives.

A celebration of Bills life will be held at the Wharfinger Building, 1 Marina Way, Eureka on July 20, 2018 from 4 to 6.
