David Earl Robinson, unexpectedly, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 29th, 2018.

David was born on October 7th, 1956 to Darrell and Adalea Robinson in Ukiah. He was the oldest of three boys. In 1959, David’s parents moved to Fortuna. He attended Toddy Thomas Elementary and graduated from Fortuna Union High School in 1975.

After high school David went to work alongside his father, for Nally Enterprise, as a laborer. A few years later David tried a new adventure and moved to Denver and became a repoman with his buddy Tom Smith. Denver didn’t last long. He returned back home and started working in drywall construction with Kenny Dorris, eventually taking a job with his brother Dale and his friend Scott Chandler.

In 1994 David moved to Redding, where he worked for P & M Cedar Products for two years before going to work for Siskiyou Forest.

David was a hardcore Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Braves fan. He had a jersey and football autographed by Brett Farve. David also loved to fish, hunt and golf. He was an avid reloader and shooter. Just like his father, he really took great joy in reloading his own bullets.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Adalea and Darrell Robinson. David is survived by his step-mother Patricia Ford Robinson of Eureka; his sister Rhonda (Randy) Hess of Salinas; brothers Lee (Jackie) Robinson of Fortuna and Dale Robinson of Anderson; nieces Heather (Nathan) Kaspar, Ashley (Frank) Florvilus; nephews Kyle Robinson, Tyson Stone, Andy Hess, Eric (Danielle) Hess, Brad (Kristi) Hess, Tyler Hess, Ryan (Carolyn) Hess, Adam Hess and numerous great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday June 7 at 1:30 p.m. at Fortuna Cemetery District, 3315 Newburg Rd Fortuna. A gathering will follow immediately after the service at Lee Robinson’s house, 1661 Clara Ave., Fortuna.
