A large landslide has completely shut down Davison Road in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, west of Orick.

Redwood National and State Parks officials report that the the road will remain closed until further notice. Gold Bluffs Beach Campground is also closed due to the slide.

Fern Canyon is still accessible. However, visitors will now have to hike in from the Prairie Creek Visitor Center.
