A barn was burnt to the ground in Fortuna early this morning.

According to the Fortuna Police Department call log, the fire was reported around at 3:49 a.m. near the intersection of 12th Street and Loni Drive.

Not much information is available at this time, but Outpost reader Trevor Mcbroom sends us these photos of firefighters battling the blaze.

“Around 4 a.m. I woke up to loud sounds and flashing lights,” Mcbroom wrote on Facebook. “Immediately I jumped out of bed and got dressed, and when I ran outside I saw that the barn across the street was fully engulfed in flames.”

We will update when we know more.
