Stanley passed away unexpectedly on April 23rd at his home in Arcata.

Stanley was born in Arcata, graduated from McKinleyville High School, and lived in this community his entire life. At various times in his life he worked in the lumber industry, construction, automobile repair and landscaping. He was loyal friend, especially known for his quick, sharp wit and fun-loving spirit. He loved many things, including being outdoors, taking pride in a job well done and fast cars. He had an incredible curiosity and desire to learn new things.

Stanley is survived by his sister, Gloria Lawrence, and brothers Kenneth Freeman and Richard Freeman; his niece Michelle Lawrence, and nephews Brian Lawrence, Eric Freeman, Shawn Freeman and Eugene Freema; great-nieces Ashley Kitchen, Karlie Boyd, Lacey McGillvray, Holly Lawrence, and Lindzey Lawrence; great-nephews Mitchell Lawrence and Chase Kitchen; and cousin Shirley Caudle.  He is also survived by his sweet and loyal dog Buddy.

We all will miss him intensely. We are richer having had him in our lives.

There will be a celebration honoring Stanley in late May.  Please email StanleyFreemanWake@gmail.com for details.
