Dolores “Fergie” Marie Turner — mother, grandmother and great-grandmother — passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday April 27, 2018 in McKinleyville.  Dolores was born on January 16, 1928 to Eva and Marvin Ferguson. In 1946 she married the love of her life, and they spent 66 wonderful years together until Nathan’s death in 2013.  

Dolores worked at St. Joseph Hospital for 30-plus years.  Upon retirement she moved to Trinity Village with Nathan, where they spent many happy years gardening, canning, working with the volunteer fire department and visiting with family, friends and neighbors.  

Dolores is preceded in death by her husband Nathan, her son Marty, infant son Randy, her parents Eva and Marvin Ferguson and daughter-in-law Monica.  Dolores is survived by brother-in-law Wayne his wife Janet, sister-in-law Jean Turner, sons Alan and his wife Jane, Kenneth and his wife Julie, Brian and his wife Brenda; grandchildren Nathan, Kippen, Molly Jean, Danielle, Jessica, Ana, Justin, Kody and Kyle;  great-grandchildren Hunter and Bailey and numerous nieces and nephews.  

The family would like to thank the staff of Timber Ridge and a special thank you to Molly and everyone at Hospice.  Family and friends are welcome to attend the graveside services on Friday May 4, 2018 at Greenwood Cemetery — 1757 J Street, Arcata at 2 p.m.
