On Tuesday Oct. 30, 2018 JP earned his wings to heaven.
JP was born on Feb. 4, 1963 and lived his whole life in Eureka and grew up on Pine Hill. He attended Jacobs Junior High then graduated from Eureka High in 1981. JP loved playing sports in his younger years. He was so good he got to play on the Pine Hill Braves with his brothers Tom and Tony. He really enjoyed going to the family cabin as a child and as a adult he enjoyed the ranch with his friends.
He was such a kind hearted person. In his 30s he put everything aside to take care of our grandmother—she was 99 when she passed. He also was right there for our dad whether it was to talk about a baseball game or just just to hang out together.
JP was preceded in death by his grandparents Peter H. and Clara A. Carroll and Eugene and Clotilda McLean; parents Wayne and Annette McLean; and his two life long best friends David and Andy White who he called his brothers.
He is survived by his pride and joy Annette Breshears McLean; brothers and sisters Michaele and Tom Whitley; Tom McLean; Mary Joe McLean all of Eureka; special sister-in-law Heide Davis Tony and Lori McLean of Oakhurst, California; France and Scott Wilson of Ohio; Jaime and Lynda McLean of Washington; special friend Crystal Williams; and lots of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and cousins.
Immediate family will meet at Ayres Family Cremation at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3. At 3:30 p.m. there will be a celebration of life for JP at the Red Lion Inn.
