They are a dedicated hard working team that we should all be thankful for @CAL_FIRE @chefjoseandres pic.twitter.com/Per5oJppKr
On Veterans Day, Ferndale’s own celebrity chef Guy Fieri fed the first responders in Butte County. Yesterday, he fed those displaced by the Camp Fire, serving up 7,000 pounds of turkey for Thanksgiving.
The Reno Gazette Journal reports that Fieri and a team of volunteers that also included fellow celebrity chef José Andrés, fed roughly 10,000 people in Chico yesterday.
“The volunteers made it happen today,” Fieri wrote on Twitter. “Sure makes you proud to be a member of the Northern California community!”

#FLAVORTOWN: My attempt to interview @GuyFieri about all the good he’s doing for survivors of the #CampFire… literally turned into him enlisting me to carve turkeys. Seriously. Great guy, really cares, loved this. More: @NBCNightlyNews tonight. Happy Thanksgiving! @NBCNews pic.twitter.com/RtGjxEkuUD
