Press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:

On Nov. 5, 2018, at about 12:45 a.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence on the 900 block of Singley Road in Loleta for a residential burglary alarm activation.

When deputies arrived on scene, they made contact with the property owner who had arrived shortly before deputies. The property owner told deputies that when he arrived on scene, he observed a white truck parked alongside of the residence’s garage. The owner observed two women inside the truck. The property owner parked his vehicle in front of the truck, so that it could not leave. The driver of the truck then reportedly fled on foot while the passenger, 47-year-old Deanne Danielle Bell, remained inside the vehicle.

Deputies located over $500 worth of stolen property in the truck. All stolen items were returned to the property owner.

Bell was arrested and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on felony charges of burglary, possession of stolen property and conspiracy to commit a crime.

This incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information about this case or related criminal activity is encouraged to call the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office at (707) 445-7251 or the Sheriff’s Office Crime Tip line at (707) 268-2539.
