Tamara (Tammy) Lee Dennison, 52, of Fortuna, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Friday, September 21, 2018. She was born in Fortuna on April 8, 1966 to Dolores Callahan (Harley) of Crescent City and the late Sammie Lee Dennison of Lower Lake. Tammy graduated from Lower Lake High.

Tammy is survived by her children: Heather Humphrey (Beaverton, Oregon) and Austin Templeton (Gallatin, Tennessee). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Adelyn and Elijah Humphrey (Beaverton). Tammy is survived also by her sisters, Deb Newman (Mike) (Freshwater) and LeeAnne Dennison (Fortuna), cherished nieces and nephews, Andrea Fritz (Eureka), Stefanie Nunes (Eureka), Stacy Nunes (Raleigh, North Carolina), Julieanne White (Fortuna), Tyler Newman (Freshwater), and Treston Newman (Freshwater).

Tammy had a love for horses and a passion for road trips, long and short. She especially liked exploring the country on a Harley like her father. The beach sunsets and sand between her toes were moments she treasured. She valued her days in Tennessee being outside, drinking sweet tea, and cooking all too spicy food. Tammy was always known as the cool Aunt. Most of all, she cherished her children and grandbabies.

She was so very loved and will forever be missed by her friends and family. She knew Jesus and once again found Him in her last days. We rest well knowing she has left behind any pain and darkness and is now walking in complete love, joy, and peace.

Sometimes faith means looking past the landscape of destruction around us to the restoration God has promised on the horizon. “There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears.”- Philippians 1:6
