Robert Alfred Pearce

Rob was born in Fields Landing to Christine and Alfred Pearce.  He passed away leaving his twin brother Roland, daughters Linda Dittemore (George) and Patty Pearce (Bob Haas), his companion of 8 years, Gloria Malcomb, and many relatives and friends. 

Rob was preceded in death by his son, Kenny, and wife of over 50 years, Jean.  

After the passing of his wife, he became a pretty good baker and used to sell his cakes at the fairs in Big Bar, Calif. Rob was an avid hunter and fisherman his entire life (until his age caught up with him). He loved to sing along with Irish music, play the mandolin, and did a mean soft-shoe.  Rob was a veteran of the US Air Force.  He was a past member of the Eureka Yacht Club, Elks Club, Friendship Circle Dance Club, and Fortuna Seniors — playing cards and dancing up until 5 months ago.  

He will be missed by all who knew him. 

A brief remembrance of Rob’s life will be held during the Sunday Service at the Fortuna United Methodist Church, 922 N Street, Fortuna on Sunday, Nov. 4 at 10 a.m.
