Larry G. Davis of Rio Dell, California passed away on September 21, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was a very loving, caring and giving man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Larry was born July 31, 1944 in Cottonwood California. The Davis family moved to Rio Dell when he was 5 years old. He attended Eagle Prairie Elementary and then graduated from Fortuna High School.

After graduating Larry moved to Arcata and managed a couple of gas stations. In 1971 he began the career that would ultimately become his passion by becoming the owner/operator of his first dump truck. He retired in 2008.

He was preceded into death by his father Elmer, mother Mary, brother Elmer, sister Susan and his loving wife Lola of 35 years. He is survived by his daughter Kim Jones, husband Brad and their kids — daughter Debbie Cordeiro, husband Walt and kids, son David, wife Debbie and kids; his grandchildren Jacie, Riley, Rechelle husband Kenny, Carlee, Tanner and Amber; his great grandchildren Gage and Chase.

Services will be held at Sunrise Cemetery on September 26, 2018 at 1 p.m.
