Eureka-grown pop star Sara Bareilles gave Humboldt County a shoutout on network television last night while telling a story about the first time she got high.

Bareilles guested alongside Game of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) on CBS’ “Late Late Show With James Corden” while promoting her new album Amidst the Chaos.

During the show, Corden asks Bareilles if she’s ever tried marijuana. 

“I had smoked pot a couple of times in high school because it was absolutely everywhere and I never got high,”Bareilles said. “Then I ate pot brownies thinking I wasn’t going to feel anything.”

Bareilles was also on national TV last week, while performing as the musical guest on “Saturday Night Live.”
