College of the Redwoods dropped both ends of a softball doubleheader at Shasta on Tuesday, giving the Knights the conference sweep over the Corsairs.

CR fell 11-2 in six innings in the opener, and lost 3-0 in the second game.

Bronwyn Gilfillan and Pheobe Marsh had a base hit in each game for the visitors, who managed just seven hits combined over the two games.

Amy Reyes finished 2-for-3 in the nightcap, while Lily Peterson had a hit in the opener.

Redwoods led 2-1 in the first game, before the home team exploded for eight runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Ashley Stockwell and Lindsey Scott took the losses in the circle.

CR, which is now 5-9 in the Golden Valley Conference and 9-19 overall, plays a doubleheader at Lassen on Wednesday.

Shasta improved to 10-2 and 16-10.
