The Corsairs completed the season sweep of Lassen by winning both ends of a road doubleheader in softball on Wednesday.
And yet again, it came down to the wire, with the College of the Redwoods women sneaking a come-from-behind win in extra innings in the second game, winning 7-6 in eight innings, after earlier winning by a more comfortable margin, 11-2 in six.
The Corsairs rallied in the nightcap, overcoming a pair of late deficits before scoring two runs in the top of the eighth.
The Cougars responded with a run in the bottom half of the inning, but it was as close as they would come.
The game was the eighth decided by just a single run in conference play this year for the Corsairs.
Redwoods scored twice in the top of the fifth to tie the game at 4-4, and had to score again in the seventh to tie the game at 5-5.
Ashley Stockwell pitched both wins and got plenty of offensive help with the CR offense exploding for 27 hits over the two games.
In the nightcap, Amy Reyes was 4-for-4 with three stolen bases and four runs, while Juliana Ortega-Miranda was 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs.
Each also had a hit in the opener.
Becca Tripp also had a big day with five hits over the two games, as well as two RBIs, while Lily Peterson had a pair of hits in each game.
Bronwyn Gilfillan had three hits on the day, while Pheobe Marsh had two hits in the opener and Lindsey Scott a hit in each game.
With the sweep, the Corsairs improved to 11-19 on the season and 7-9 in the GVC.
