The College of the Redwoods softball team will have to wait another few days for its home opener, after having two weekend doubleheaders postponed.

The Corsairs, who have played their opening 20 games on the road, were scheduled to play both Lassen and Butte at CR this weekend, but were forced to postpone all four games because of the weather and field conditions.

The Lassen doubleheader will now be played next Wednesday, the first of three doubleheaders the Corsairs will host next week.

Redwoods will also play Shasta and Siskiyous twice each on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

The Butte doubleheader has been put back to the end of the regular season and will now take place on April 20, one day after the CR women host Feather River.

Another previously postponed doubleheader on the road at Shasta has also been rescheduled, and will now take place on April 16, one day before the Corsairs play at Lassen.

The CR women, who have been traveling for games since early February, are 6-14 on the season and 2-4 in the Golden Valley Conference.

Five of their six conference games have been decided by one run.
