Humboldt County Drug Task Force press release:

On July 31 st , 2019, at approximately 1:45 p.m., Special Agents with the Humboldt County Drug Task Force (HCDTF), with the assistance of the Arcata Police Department, served a search warrant at a residence located in the 1200 block of Central Avenue, McKinleyville. During their multi-week investigation, agents received information that one of the residents, Elisabeth Anne Brown (age 38), is distributing heroin throughout Humboldt County.

Upon arrival, agents contacted approximately 15 subjects on the property. These subjects were detained, interviewed, and subsequently released from the scene. Brown was also detained and found to be in possession of approximately ½ pound of heroin packaged for sales. In addition, agents seized nearly $3,000 in U.S. currency that is believed to be profits from illegal drug sales. This currency will be held pending asset forfeiture proceedings.

Due to medical conditions, Brown was released from police custody and HCDTF will be forwarding their report to the District Attorney’s Office seeking prosecution. Attached is a previous Elisabeth Brown booking photograph.

HCDTF would also like to note this residence was the source of numerous neighborhood complaints. Most complaints consisted of constant pedestrian and vehicular traffic. If you suspect a house in your neighborhood is engaged in narcotics activity, contact HCDTF at 707-267-9976 and we will investigate your complaint. You can remain anonymous.
