Eureka Teen Arrested After Threatening to Stab Employee of Business He’d Just Shoplifted From, Says EPD
Eureka Police Department press release:
On 8/18/2019 at 12:12 p.m., EPD officers responded to a business in the 600 block of
W. Harris for a report of a subject with a knife.
Upon arrival, officers contacted a male located outside the business. The male, later
identified as Anthony Andrew Glass, 18, of Eureka, was detained and searched.
Two large pocket knives were found in his possession.
Glass had been observed shoplifting from the business and was asked to leave. A
heated argument started as Glass was escorted from the store by an employee.
Glass threatened to stab the employee.
While outside the business, Glass displayed a knife at the employee and stated that
he was going to stab him. After a short period of time, Glass closed the pocket knife
and placed it in his pocket.
Glass was arrested and booked in to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility for
Making Criminal Threats (PC 422) and Brandishing a Deadly Weapon (PC 417
(A)(1) ).
