The College of the Redwoods men’s basketball team will carry a five-game winning streak into this week’s Kris Kringle tournament in Santa Rosa, as they look to continue an impressive start to the season.

The Corsairs defeated Southwestern Oregon 91-89 on Saturday, sneaking the come-from-behind win on a buzzer-beating Drew Gillette 3-pointer.

CR has scored at least 80 points in five straight games, after hitting that mark just once in its opening eight games.

On Thursday, they will open the Santa Rosa tournament against Canada at 6 p.m. and local fans can follow the action online through NorCal Sports TV on YouTube.

The Corsairs are averaging 76.5 points a game and are now 10-3.

Canada is 1-5 on the season.
