Debra Lou Butterfield, 55, a beloved member of the community, passed away at home on October 31, 2019.  Her love of children led her to a career in Early Childhood Development with North Coast Children’s Services.  Where she was employed for 10-plus years. After her cancer diagnosis in 2013 her lifetime partner of 32 years, Mark Douglas, was her care provider and her rock.  

She is survived by her daughters: Loretta Hancock and her family, Hannah Bradshaw and her family, Janice Rogers, and Tina.

We will be combining a memorial service with Mark K. Douglas’ on December 28 from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. at the Eureka Women’s Club located at 1531 J Street in Eureka for anyone who would like to join us in sharing our memories.
