H-DNL football fans are gearing up for another exciting night of playoff action on Friday, with two local teams battling for a place in a state bowl game.

St. Bernard’s and Del Norte each won a section title over the weekend, giving the H-DNL two NCS champions in the same year for the first time since 2003.

Both will now advance to the NorCal Regional playoffs, with each playing on Friday night.

Division 5-AA

Del Norte vs. King’s Academy

WHEN — Friday night at 7:30 p.m. 

WHERE — At King’s Academy High in Sunnyvale (just north of San Jose).

RECORDS — The Warriors are 12-1 and NCS Division-5 champions. The Knights are 10-3 and Central Coast Section Division-III champions.

Division 6-AA

WHEN — Friday night at 7:30 p.m. 

WHERE — At River Valley High School in Yuba City (just north of Sacramento).

RECORDS — The Crusaders are 10-3 and NCS Division-6 champions. The Spartans are 12-1 and are North Section Division-4 champions.
