Teresa Murlene Meadors was born on February 7, 1970 in National City, California to Jerry and Judy Meadors.

In 1976, Teresa and her family moved to Fortuna, Californiawhere she grew up and graduated from Fortuna Union High School. She spent most her adult years residing in Fortuna and Eureka.

Teresa was the type of person to love with all she could. Her favorite pastime was being around her family. Rather it was grabbing a bite to eat, playing games, or going to agate beach, she just loved being together. The family often joked with Teresa that she was a “crazy cat lady”, because of how much love she had for cats. Teresa liked to give by helping when she could. She often volunteered at the Eureka Rescue Mission and Celebrate Recovery. She was an avid fan of Nascar, #24 Jeff Gordon, and our local Redwood Acres Saturday night races.

On December 21, 2019, Teresa lost her on-going battle with addiction and diabetes. Teresa’s faith has led her to rest peacefully with our Lord and Savior. Teresa will be greatly missed by her family.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Ruby McLeod. She is survived by her daughter Samantha, son-in-law Michael and her unborn grandson Sawyer Cardoza; parents Jerry (Virginia) Meadors and Judy (Tony) Michelet; siblings Tami (Tom) Trent, Kathy (Scott) Rexford and Wes (Mimi) Knoblock; nieces and nephews, Jenifer Braud, Stacy Hanson, Christopher Craps, Derrick Craps and Alyssa Craps; and many great nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of life for Teresa at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Redwood Christian Fellowship, 750 13th Street, Fortuna.
