On Dec. 2, 2019, at about 9:41 a.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a business on the 700 block of Redwood Drive in Garberville for the report of a burglary in progress.

When deputies arrived on scene, they found that the glass door to the business had been broken. Inside the store deputies located 36-year-old Danilo Cvetkovic.

Cvetkovic was found to be in possession of a large amount of cash, which had been removed from the business’ cash register, in addition to merchandise taken from the store. Additionally, deputies learned that Cvetkovic was responsible for the vandalism of construction equipment behind the business.

Cvetkovic was also found to have been reported missing by a family member on November 23. Cvetkovic was cleared from the Missing and Unidentified Persons System and taken into custody. He was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on felony charges of burglary (PC 459) and vandalism (PC 594(b)(1)).
