After a couple of impressive performances earlier in the week, the South Fork Cubs will return to the basketball court this weekend when they host their annual Gene Cotter Memorial Tournament.

The eight-team tournament tips off on Friday and will run through Saturday, with 12 games scheduled over a busy two days.

The tourney also features league rivals Hoopa, as well as Laytonville, Hayfork, Round Valley, Fort Bragg, Willits and Cornerstone Christian.

Games tip off at 3 p.m. on Friday, with the Hoopa girls playing Round Valley at 4:30 p.m. and the host Cubs playing Willits at 7:30 p.m.

Games will run from 9 a.m. on Saturday.

Earlier this week, the 2-2 Cubs split a pair of games, losing to Laytonville on Monday before responding with a victory over Potter Valley on Tuesday.
