An impressive start to her sophomore season at UC Santa Cruz got a whole lot better over the weekend for former Eureka standout Kaylee Murphy.

The former Logger led the way as the Banana Slugs outscored Puget Sound by seven points in the final quarter to pull out a 68-67 win on Friday night.

Murphy remarkably posted career-highs in three separate categories, finishing with 20 points, 22 rebounds and six blocks.

According to the UC Santa Cruz website, her 22 rebounds were the third-highest single-game total in school history.

The win was the second straight for the Banana Slugs, who are now 4-5.
