Humboldt County Public Works release:
Humboldt County Public Works Deputy Director of Engineering, Tony Seghetti, has released a transportation plan for the residents behind the slide on Panther Gap. The preliminary details are as follows:
A shuttle service, using side by side ATV’s, will be available 7 days a week, from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The access points will be at “The Green Gate” on the west side of the slide (Mattole Road) and at the “Y” on the east side (Panther Gap Road).
We are trying to establish a radio network at both access points for shuttle communications.
A resident liaison will be established in the next few days and contact information released then.
Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
