Two men suspected of robbing a gas station on Nov. 20, 2018 in McKinleyville have been taken into custody.

Through witness statements and citizen tips, deputies were able to identify the two suspects as McKinleyville residents John Allen Davis, 27, and Joseph Jural Lenhart, 19. Arrest warrants were issued for the two suspects in relation to the robbery.

On Jan. 29, 2019, at about 11:15 p.m., Arcata Police Department officers contacted Davis on the 4600 block of Valley West Boulevard in Arcata. Davis was arrested and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of robbery, conspiracy to commit a crime, resisting a peace officer and petty theft.

On Jan. 31, 2019, at about 5:16 p.m., a Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputy observed Lenhart walking on the 1100 block of East Bates Road in McKinleyville. Lenhart was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of robbery and conspiracy to commit a crime.
