Press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:

On Feb. 12, 2019, at about 2 p.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on a truck pulling a trailer near the Highway 101 Miranda Exit for a tinted windows vehicle code violation.

During the traffic stop, deputies learned that the driver was hauling approximately 630 pounds of processed cannabis in the attached trailer. The cannabis was not involved in the California Track and Trace Program and was not labeled as required by state law. 

Deputies seized the cannabis and are forwarding the case to the District Attorney’s Office for review of charges. 

No arrests were made at the time.
