The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office deployed its fancy sno-cat Friday night, to rescue yet another driver trapped in snow.

The driver was reported to be stuck in 8 inches of snow on Bald Hills Road when the HCSO got the call just before 7 p.m.

“HCSO Search and Rescue was mobilized and the Sno-Cat was deployed,” the HCSO stated on social media. “With the Sno-Cat’s help, deputies were able to make it to the driver and free his vehicle.”

The driver was reportedly 20 miles from Weitchpec when he became stuck, and was able to reach his destination safely after his vehicle freed from the snow.
