St. Bernard’s bounced back from a first Little 4 loss in six years with a comfortable non-league 51-34 win at Calistoga on Saturday.

Lane Thrap again led the way for the Crusaders, scoring 18 points, as they quickly put Thursday’s loss to South Fork behind them.

With the win, St. Bernard’s improved to 8-7.

“Our primary concern was to work on execution both on defense and offense,” St. Bernard’s head coach Steve Thrap said. “And the boys did a pretty good job of it.”

Bode Joyner also had a good game for the visitors, finishing with seven points.

“We also got some quality minutes for guys that don’t get a  lot of time overall,” the head coach said. “A successful trip.”

Calistoga dropped to 4-9.

Next up, the Crusaders will host Hoopa Valley in a Little 4 showdown on Tuesday night.
