Robert was born October 25, 1931 in Ferndale California. He passed away on December 31, 2018. He was 87. Most of his life was spent on wood making and selling split fencing products and redwood rail tie posts. A lot of ranches in Humboldt County have bought his fence posts for their property. Bob was an outdoor guy who loved duck hunting and fishing for salmon especially with his buddy Lyle and brother-in-law Kenny, and getting together with his friend Russ Fraser and friends at Ruth Lake Polenta Feed.

He was in the army during the Korea war and was stationed overseas in England during the 1950s. He lived and worked in Humboldt County all his life, and was a great sportsman who enjoyed baseball (Giants) and football, and spending time in and out of doors at family get-togethers.

Bob attended Fortuna Elementry and Fortuna High School being in track and baseball. He was a member of ducks unlimited and loved to hunt ducks at Tule Lake and lower Klamath every winter. He made his own boat one time also.  His favorite past time was bowling in a league with his friends at Harbor Lanes in Eureka.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bert and Sert Bacchetti & brothers-in-law Kenny wright and Bobby Cox.

He is survived by his sisters Charlene Wright Klamath Falls, Oregon & Gerry Cox, Hydesville, California. Nieces and spouses Julie Wright and Tim of Fortuna, California , Jenni and Jerry Peterson of Blocksburg, California. Nephews Mike Wright, Klamath Falls, Oregon, Lee and Shea Cox, Hydesville, California. And several Great Nieces and Great Nephews- Cole, Cassie, Kylee Peterson & Sheldon, Austin, Sadie, Ellie, Jared, Zachary, Levi Cox.

The Family would like to give a special thanks to Jana and Tom at Habor Lanes and Lyle and Sharon at Chapman’s Gem & Mineral shop and all his other close friends who always looked out for Bob and gave him a helping hand when he needed it.

Per his wishes no services will be held. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Center and to Harbor Bowling Alley or your favorite charity. We want to thank the nurses and staff at Eureka Rehab and Wellness Center for all their care and help taking care of Bob.
