Press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:

On Jan. 7, 2019, at about 11:10 p.m., deputies on patrol in the area of the Blue Lake Casino observed a white Mercedes coupe matching the description of a vehicle reported stolen out of Eureka less than one hour earlier about two and a half hours earlier.

Deputies approached the vehicle and contacted one male occupant in the driver’s seat. The subject provided deputies with a false name, but was later identified as 27-year-old Stetson Cole Miller.

Upon further investigation, deputies determined the vehicle was stolen. During a search of the vehicle, deputies located several other stolen items.  

Miller was arrested and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of: possession of a stolen vehicle, providing false identification to a peace officer, possession of stolen property and violation of probation, in addition to an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
