The Humboldt County Animal Shelter is overstocked on pooches and is having a summer sale to clear its kennels.
Between now and Friday, the shelter is selling senior dogs for $35, adult dogs for $50 and puppies for $80. These dogs are fixed, dewormed, microchipped and current on all vaccines.
“You get all of that for $35-$80. Now that is a bargain,” Shelter employee Jenna Nibert-Furman said in a press release. “On top of that, you save a life and give an unwanted animal a second chance. Priceless!”
