On 07-24-2019, deputies with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET) served 2 search warrants to investigate illegal cannabis cultivation in the Hyampom area. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife and DFW Biologists, Humboldt County Code Enforcement, Humboldt County Environmental Health, and State and Regional Water Boards assisted in the service of the warrant.
Five parcels owned by Trinity Pacific LP and Napaville Ranch LLC were investigated during the service of the warrants. The parcels did not possess the required county permit and state license to cultivate cannabis commercially.
During the service of the warrants, deputies eradicated approximately 6,762 growing cannabis plants. Deputies seized and destroyed over 500 pounds of cannabis bud.
Assisting agencies found numerous violations including:
- Water diversion violations
- Improper storage and removal of solid waste violations
- Commercial cannabis ordinance violations
- Building without a permit violations
- Unlawful disposal of waste HazMat violations
- Unapproved sewage disposal system violations
Suspects have been identified and charges are being forwarded to the Humboldt County District Attorney’s Office.
