Submitted photo – Humboldt State rugby will welcome several new faces this year.

Humboldt State men’s rugby is in the midst of a busy recruiting season with one local player set to join the fray in the fall.

McKinleyville High’s Justin Celotto will play for the Jacks in 2019, joining older brother Colin, a fifth-year senior with the program.

The younger Celotto honed his skills playing with the Chico youth program last year and is one of several new recruits joining the Jacks.

Former Humboldt State football player Anthony Rosales will also play his first full season with the club side after joining late last year.

Rosales gave the Jacks some valuable minutes in the playoffs, starting three games.

Three other former football players, Latufeao Kolopeaua, Tumanako te’l and Jason Uipi, are also expected to return.

The Jacks closed out last year as the No. 16 team in the nation in NSCRO.
