Ruth Ann D Nissen, born June 11, 1941 in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, passed away June 28, 2019 in Fieldbrook at the age of 78.

Ruth Ann worked at various jobs including being a care provider she worked at a tree nursery in McKinleyville, and a bakery sandwich shop in Arcata. She also taught cake decorating and fabric painting for McKinleyville Adult Education and worked as a painter for S&S Manufactured Homes. Most importantly she was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and friend.

Ruth Ann had many hobbies, including cake decorating, painting, ceramics and porcelain dolls, to name just a few.

Ruth Ann is survived by her daughter, Brenda; son-in-law, Richard; son, Brian; grandson Brandon and his wife Margarita; granddaughter Adelinea; grandson August; grandson Levi; great-grandchildren Jouanni and Amelia; her brother Leroy and his wife Diane; brother Lester and his wife Dee. Ruth Ann is preceded in death by her brother Arnold; husband, Richard; father and mother August and Allen; mother-in-law Virna; and her grandson Richard.

Ruth Ann was a always ready to lend a helping hand to her family, friends and neighbors. She will always be remembered and missed for her kind and loving heart. A memorial service will be held for family and friends of Ruth Ann at Eureka the Pentecostal Church at 1060 Hoover Street in Eureka on Monday, July 8, 2019, at 12 p.m.
