Edgar was born Dec. 14, 1937 to Freeman and Myrtle Lorine Frisbee. He suddenly went home to be with Jesus on May 23. He lived most of his life in Humboldt County, graduating from Arcata High School.

Edgar also enjoyed riding and racing motorcycles. He had a room full of trophies he and his son Doug won. He and Doug shared the love of racing .

As a child Edgar found his passion by singing hymns in church with his siblings: twin sisters May Fregoso and Fay Layton, Don Frisbee Sr. and Carl Frisbee, collectively known as the Frisbee kids. As an adult Edgar could be found singing at family gatherings and anywhere there was karaoke. His fans and anyone that heard him said he sound just like George Jones. He kept his guitar is his car and would bring it out to play alongside his brother and sisters. Music was a big part of our family culture. A big part of the music has been silenced in our family by his passing.

Edgar was preceded by his parents Freeman and Lorine, his brothers Donald and Carl, and most recently his aunt Irene Poer. Edgar is survived by his children, Debra Rogers from Fortuna and Douglas Frisbee of McKinleyville and their children; his twin sisters Fay Layton of Oklahoma and May Fregoso of Eureka; his girlfriend Barbara, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Mad River Hospital, who did everything they could to save him.

Services will be held at New Hope Church of God — 2022 Sutter Road, McKinleyville on July 6, 2019 at 1 p.m.
