The Humboldt Eagles 19U suffered a rare loss in Oregon on Saturday night, falling 12-2 in eight innings to Roseburg.
According to head coach Matt Tomlin, the Eagles played like a tired team after eight straight days on the road.
Highlights from Saturday’s loss included Hunter Davis, who finished 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI, and Brady Munson, who had a two-out RBI single to give the Eagles an early lead.
Defensively, shortstop Cody Emmons made some big plays.
The Eagles, who are now 12-5, will close out their three-state road trip at Medford on Sunday, with Caleb Ruiz scheduled to start on the mound.
