On March 12, 2019, the Eureka Police Department arrested Albert Durant Kress Sr. (48
of Eureka) for the murder of Raymond Prudhomme. Prudhomme was found deceased
inside his Eureka apartment on February 22, 2019.
Kress and Prudhomme were known to each other. This is an open investigation and
further details will not be released at this time.
Detectives would like to thank family, friends, and acquaintances of Prudhomme for
providing timely information that helped speed up the investigation and identify Kress as
the suspect.
