Russell William Wallace Jr. passed away peacefully on February 5th, 2019. Russ was born Dec 16th, 1942 in Eureka to Barbara and Russell Wallace Sr. He was the eldest of three children. He graduated from Cloverdale High School in 1959 and soon after served four years in the US Navy. Throughout his life he worked various jobs as a store clerk, bartender, carpenter, construction worker, mechanic and truck driver. He was known to many by his nickname “Animal.”

Russ and Joan, married 45 years, lived in Willow Creek and had three children together. His hobbies included gardening, reading, enjoying a cold one, yard work, cooking, arguing with the news on TV and spending time with family.

Russ is proceeded in death by his parents, brother Thomas Wallace and nephew Jerry Davis. He is survived by his wife, Joan Leach Wallace; son, Stone Wallace; daughters Marjorie Wallace (Ken) and Sandi Wallace; sister Marilyn and Alfred Whisenhunt; niece Tina Woodhull; nephew Jeffrey Davis; and great-nephews Brent (Rachenda) and Brice (Sammi) Thompson.

Russ’s wishes will be honored and no funeral services will be held. Cards may be sent to P.O. Box 1364 Willow Creek, CA 95573.
