Frank Joseph Pelosa

Frank Joseph Pelosa passed away May 4, 2019, at the age of 71 in Eureka, with his family by his side.

Frank was born in Astoria, New York on November 8, 1947, to Ruth and Frank Pelosa. In 1966 he moved with his mother, stepfather and younger sister to Los Angeles at the age of 19. Frank was drafted into the army in April of 1968 and went on to serve in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged as sergeant in 1974. In 1976 he moved to Petrolia, where he met Susan (Selby) Clemenza, friend and the mother of his children. Together they welcomed Nathan in 1977 and Alden in 1980.

In 1984 Frank started his own business, Frank Pelosa Painting, based in Los Angeles. In 1998 he moved to Eureka permanently to be closer to his children. Nathan joined him in the family business, working alongside Frank until he retired in 2008. Frank had a love for motorcycles and Porsches, owning quite a few throughout the years. He enjoyed being with family and playing cards.

He is survived by his two sons, Nathan Pelosa and Alden Pelosa, and his two stepchildren, Adam Donald and Ronda Roudebush; four grandchildren – Sienna, Ethan, Jacob and Melanie; hs brother, Richard Kraft; sister Dana Kitaj; nieces and nephews David, Stephanie, Christopher, David, Rachael, Joe, Sam and Luke.

He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Pelosa, his mother, Ruth Kraft, his stepfather, Gilman Kraft, and his sister Susan Holley.
