Press release from the Eureka Police Department:

In the last week, the Eureka Police Department has investigated two separate incidents involving a male subject driving up to juveniles, exposing himself, and making inappropriate comments.

The first incident occurred on Friday, May 17th and the second occurred on Sunday, May 19th. Both happened around 5:00 p.m. and were in the areas of Zane Middle School and Eureka High School.

The suspect vehicle was described as a “banged up” gray, brown, or gold sedan. The suspect was described as a white male adult, late 20’s to 40’s, with short brown hair, and a brown beard.

In addition to our extra patrol efforts of these areas, the Eureka Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the suspect.

Safety Tips:

  • Walk in groups and be aware of your surroundings.
  • If approached by a suspicious vehicle, do not engage.
  • If you can safely do it, take a picture of the vehicle, license plate, and any occupants.
  • The license plate number and color of the vehicle is the most helpful information for law enforcement.
