Hiway 101 “Died To Get Here” music video.

Eureka rapper Hiway 101 has released a locally-filmed music video for his new song “Died to Get Here.”

The video, which was published to YouTube on Friday, features scenes from the Eagle House in Eureka and what appears to be one of Humboldt’s local beaches.

“This was a true labor of love!” the rapper wrote on social media about the music video. “Cheers to you, I, and US!”

The song is an early release from his upcoming album “The Carpool,” which is set to be released on Aug. 23.

According to Hiway 101’s bio, he’s “an MC straight out of Humboldt County, and “has shared the stage with many well know artists, such as Bone Thugs-n-Harmony , D12, Warren G, Tha Dogg Pound, Tech N9ne, Ill Bill, Dead Prez and Devin The Dude.”
