The Humboldt Outlaw Karts continue to expand as they get set for the season opener at the Redwood Acres on Saturday.
This year will feature an additional division of racing, while also expanding to an eight-race schedule, up from six a year ago.
The opening day is sponsored by Steve’s Septic Service and Wes Green Landscaping and will include the Stock Lawn Mower class for the first time.
Saturday’s action, which gets under way at 3 p.m., will also include the six returning divisions — beginner box stocks, box stocks, fart karts, pure stocks, 250s and 500s.
The outlaw karts are open to anyone aged five and up, and feature four different age groups, 5-8, 8-12, 12-18 and 18-and-over.
