Humboldt County Drug Task Force press release:

On May 8th, 2019, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Special Agents with the Humboldt County Drug Task Force (HCDTF), with the assistance of the Eureka Police Department POP unit, conducted a traffic stop in the 2200 block of Buhne Street, Eureka. HCDTF had previously obtained a search warrant for a vehicle that was being driven by Ladelle Jean Tomson (age 34 from Garberville, California). During their multi- week investigation, agents received information that Tomson is heavily involved in heroin distribution in Southern Humboldt communities.

During the traffic stop, Tomson was detained without incident. Also present inside the vehicle was Scott Andrew Bilquist (age 31 from Garberville, California). During a search of the vehicle agents located over an ounce of suspected heroin, digital scales, and packaging material.

Tomson and Bilquist were subsequently placed under arrested and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility for transportation and possession of controlled substances for sales.
