The College of the Redwoods men’s basketball team got back to winning ways on Thursday night, pulling out a 68-57 win at Napa Valley.

Isaac Puzz led the way with his best offensive performance of the young season, scoring a team-high 20 points, while teammate Thomas Nelson added 14 points to continue his impressive start to the new campaign.

With the win, which was a nice way to respond to last weekend’s loss to De Anza at the American River Classic, the Corsairs improved to 5-2.

They will play a second straight non-conference road game at Mendocino College on Friday at 6 p.m.
