The Humboldt County Coroner’s Office has positively identified a male body found November 20 in Salmon Creek as that of missing person Adam Daniel Mrozek. Official cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy of the body.

UPDATE, 1:50 p.m.: HCSO has released updated information indicating that they’ve located a body during their search for Mrozek. They are working to identify it:

Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies have located a male body while searching for missing person Adam Daniel Mrozek in the Salmon Creek area. Deputy coroners are working to determine a positive identification for the body to confirm whether or not it is Mrozek. Initial investigation indicates that foul play is likely not a factor, however an official determination regarding cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy of the body and further investigation.

Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies are conducting a ground search this morning (Nov. 20, 2019) in the Salmon Creek area for missing person Adam Daniel Mrozek.

Mrozek was last seen at his residence on the 4300 block of Thomas Road at about 2:30 p.m. on November 17, 2019. He was reported missing on November 19 after a roommate was unable to locate him on the property despite his personal belongings and vehicle still being present at the residence.

Deputies are searching approximately 39-acres of property associated with the residence.

Mrozeck is described as a 40-year-old white male, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, 190 pounds, with brown balding hair, blue eyes and facial hair. He was last seen wearing a khaki jacket, white shirt and khaki pants.
