St. Bernard’s senior Justin Hagler has made a habit of making big plays this season — on both sides of the ball.

The Division-I college prospect was at it again on Saturday, as the Crusaders comfortably took care of Middletown in the NCS Division-6 playoffs by a score of 35-7.

Hagler scored two TDs, one on defense and one on offense, helping St. Bernard’s set the tempo with a complete and dominating performance.

In the first half Hagler returned an interception 55 yards for a touchdown, and he followed that in the second half with a 42-yard TD reception from quarterback Will Omey.

Hagler was far from the only hero for the Crusaders, who put together one of their most complete performances in years.

Omey accounted for four TDs, running in for two and throwing for two.
