From the Eureka Police Department:
On November 5, 2019, at about 2:30 p.m., a Community Safety Enhancement Team (CSET) Waterfront Ranger located two subjects concealed in a greenbelt near Waterfront Drive and the Samoa Bridge. One of the subjects, identified as Thomas Applewhite (25 of Eureka), was determined to be on formal probation. During a search of Applewhite per his probation terms, he was found to be in possession of a concealed fixed blade knife, 7.95 grams of heroin, and 2.96 grams of methamphetamine.
Applewhite was arrested for carrying a concealed dirk or dagger, possession of a controlled substance, possession of narcotics, and probation violation. He was transported and booked into Humboldt County Correctional Facility (HCCF).
On November 6, 2019, at about 1:30 p.m., a CSET Waterfront Ranger contacted a subject on Marina Way. The subject, Peter Krolicki (45 of Eureka), was determined to be on summary probation. During a search of Krolicki per his probation terms, he was found to be in possession of 9.5 grams of methamphetamine. Krolicki was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and probation violation. He was transported and booked into HCCF.
